The membership scheme allows those who have paid the relevant membership fees (Members) to use the DDA facilities, subject to these terms and conditions.

Members may access the DDA between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, other than during public holidays. Members may not be allowed to access certain areas of the DDA when they are reserved for private events.

Members must only use equipment within the DDA that they have been trained how to use. Members must use any equipment in a safe and proper manner. DDA staff may require Members to demonstrate their competence in the use of a piece of equipment before the Member is allowed to use it. DDA staff may prevent Members from using any equipment that they do not appear to be trained in using or which they are using in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.

Members may only use their own equipment within the DDA if the equipment has been approved by DDA staff. Such approval may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the DDA staff.

Members must adhere to any safety rules which are advertised within the DDA or which DDA staff make them aware of. Members must participate in a safety briefing if requested to do so by DDA staff.

Whilst using the DDA facilities, Members must not make unnecessary noise, play music, make calls, eat or do anything which could cause a nuisance to, or endanger the safety of other Members, users or staff of the DDA.

Members must not access any area of the DDA which has been reserved for a private event.
Charges may apply in addition to the membership fees for extra services offered in the DDA, such as 3D printing.

To the extent permitted by law, DMCCA shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to a Member’s equipment, work, or other possessions, or for any injury suffered by a Member whilst using the DDA
facilities, provided that nothing in these terms shall limit a party’s liability for wilful or deliberate default, fraud, negligence, or criminal conduct.

Members are responsible for, and will reimburse DMCCA for the costs of any damage the Member
causes to the DDA facilities.

Each Member indemnifies DMCCA and any parties related to it in respect of any cost, loss, damage or fee, including legal fees, arising out of or in connection with the Member’s breach of these terms or criminal or negligent acts.

DDA staff may refuse entry to, or remove from, the DDA, any Member who has not paid the relevant membership fees or who fails to adhere to any of the conditions set out above. In such cases, the Member will not be entitled to any refund of any membership fees.
